Yes, I can see where it gets the name - Ermine. Lovely white furry body Monika. I looked up Google and it does look like what you said it was.

Wow, Monika.
Superb composition with the full frame and the leafy BG.
The details are outstandingly sharp, and the colors are gorgeous.
Excellent handling of the whites. A regal insect, if ever there was one. I can almost see him with a gold crown on his head.

You're right - one of most beautifull moths for sure. I like its innocent look and colours. It looks like old Russian lady in her fur made from arctic foxes ;-) Great details and POV, white/greens work good together, everything looks very nice.

Hi Monika,
A lovely shot, excellent detail and colour, I'm guessing no Russian binoculars involved here :-) Technically the DOF may be a little shallow, however I like it and it's something I do a lot as I think it adds depth. I think you are right about the origin of Ermine, it looks very much like Ermine fur.

Does "Adult moths do not feed and the caterpillars, what is quite interesting, prefer to feed on hairy plants." adults only job is to reproduce like cicada?
Good picture , excellent composition and exposure.What made you use f2.8, i feel higher F-stop could have given you a better DOF.
