Hallo Monika, nice to see a new brilliant picture of a small butterfly like this non-blue Lycaenide. Such clear green colours are rare among European butterflies and are presented here well against the 'non-wanted' grey sky and also contrast to the paler green of the Salix flowers.

Hi Monika,
A beautiful shot. And here is that trademark POV again :-) The composition is perfect with the three flowers, the colours are excellent, the greens are vivid but not oversaturated and the BG a lovely shade of blue which provides a perfect contrast. Flash levels/control couldn't be better, I honestly don't know how you could improve this shot. Excellent work!

I like the colours of the butterfly and like the flower (or whatever!) its perched on also! Only its position upsidedown, but no matter this is interesting. A little bit distraction on the left bottom side.

Agree with Kaszek - I've also haven't seen this butterfly yet. It looks like cross between Common Blue and Brimstone. Very good capture in hard conditions. Composition with blooming tree is also very nice. Another great catch and note.

By the way - I've got allergy attack last days and yesterday I wasn't able to see sweet Ronnie on Eurosport. HOW SAD HA,HA!!!

This is beautiful. The butterfly is nicely highlighted by the slightly dark sky and complemented by the cool green of the catkins. Nicely sharp, original composition and full of spring green shades. Not an easy butterfly to spot ;)

Lovely photo, Monika. That is definately an interesting looking butterfly. I think the composition worked out well eventhough it was a little hard to frame.

The thumbnail doesn't do this one justice. The fill-in flash is most effective, bringing out the colour and contrast in the wings and also the buds.
