I know this is not an usuall post for me, but I decided to make my gallery a little more diversified :-)

I don't usually take landscapes from a very simple reasons. We don't really have any interesting landscapes in my region. As you can see on the picture it's amazingly flat area and apart from forests, fields and meadows little more can be found here.

We don't even have any lakes nearby and the water you can see on the picture is just a typical look of our meadow at Spring.

These meadows are generally not used by farmers because most of the year they look either like lakes or bogs. They are hardly ever dry enough to make from them pastures. Anyway, most of the meadows are covered with high, very sharp grass that is inedible for cattle.

I'm very happy about that because that means the area is kind of left for nature. Wild animals, especially small birds, insects, spiders and so on, can live there not disturbed by anyone.

I took this picture few weeks ago. The day was very rainy and cold, but at the afternoon the Sun started to appear. I took my tripod and went on the meadows with hope to see some nice views with these, quite beautiful, clouds on the sky.

Hi Monika!
So, this is your hunting zone :-) Good landscape, as you wrote flat, but with nice sky and reflected clouds. I see hundreds spiders on your photo, just ready to be captured in macro mode :-) Without water it remains me my meadow which lays about 1km from my flat and where I take many insects' pictures.

Hi Monika,
I am always happy to see landscape photos, since there are not that many compared to wildlife and macros. What might no be a spectacular scenery for you, for people in other parts of the world, this might be the opposite. I live in a flat and cultivated country as well.

The photo is beautiful with a stunning reflection of the sky and clouds in the f/g. Colors and exposure are perfect. I hope to see more of Poland through your photos.
TFS,
Niek

Hello Monika,
That is an awesome cloud formation!
Yeah, I think that cloud contains rain... But behind the sky is always blue!
Well composed, with good balance and a pleasant reflection!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hello Monika,
This is indeed a chnage from the norm for you. You did capture a very good reflection of the cloud in this scene, the day looks gray and dark, not your fault. There are even treasures to be found in these fields and pastures, one just has to open their minds to all nature and behold, they will discover new and exciting subjects.
Steve

Hi Monika,
Lovely place to be your playground. Clouds and reflection are interesting composition. Very good point of view and TFS.

Hello Monika,
Hey, where is my spider, ugly beetle or scary snakes in the frame, I have some doubts about is this a macro shot? Hey are you drunken that day? ;-) I'm just kidding. I'm very happy to see your hunting place. It seems perfect really. Besides, both technical and artistic aspect, this picture is wonderful. Very well done and many thanks again for showing there to us!

Hi Monika,
Wow, it's beautiful. The clouds are amazing, it looks a very peaceful place. England is very flat too so I can appreciate the beauty in flat landscapes. Nicely composed with the clouds reflections, excellent exposure and colours. I agree with Greg, it's nice to see your hunting grounds ;-)
Cheers,
Adrian

Wonderful landscape... the sky and the cloud really make something of it... very nicely captured. I think the only (very minor) nit is that the divide is too central, but without being there I can really say what woudl actually ahve worked for this picture, but as I said - only very minor nit...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Monika.
You have seen and captured real beauty in this image, even though you seem to under-rate the natural appeal I find in abundance in those bogs and marshes.
Great mirror image!

Bonsoir Monika

Hey Monika, it is good to see a change from your usual, and this is your hunting ground. Now we can understand when you talk aboout where you find all your insects and friends. This does look like a pond to me, like some of our farmlands when it's been raining. Super reflections of the cloudy blue Polish sky too. Thanks Monika, I am really happy to see this,
Janice

Witaj,

Hi Monika,
I also live in a part of my country that is very flat. You can find beautiful landscapes, it just takes more of an eye for finding the right scene. This one is beautiful! Very dramatic sky and clouds. The captured reflections in the standing water look great. The portrait framing works perfectly for this composition. Nice eye!
Scott

Hello Monika,
Fantastic view of this "simple" swamp, I love the clouds and reflections on water.
Remembers my homeland, flatwith lagoons and flooded areas (sometimes), interesting places to take amazing photos of nature, Its biodiversity could be important.

Hi Monika,
Something a bit different from the work I have seen from you in the past...and I like it!As you have seen i like landscapes. You have deiced to make it a mirror image with the cut 50/50 which is ok but what was your preference the sky or water?Lovely light with good base colors.Very attractive!Well done.
Regards, David

Monika,

Landscapes are not my first choice when taking photos either but this is one that certainly caught my eye. I mainly take pics of birds and animals and have posted just one landscape to date. In South Africa I normally go to the Kruger park to take pics of animals and landscape opportunities are rare.

I like your Composition, POV, DOF, Colour variation in the pic and the detail shown.

Keep the variations coming, I think you could do very well! TFS,

Sheriff

I stay in a very similar landscapes. The flatlands. What makes this very good is the anchor (reflection of the clouds) in the FG. The exposure is managed very good with the human element carefully hidden in the shadows. :) Great shot.

Hey Monika
It certainly is unusual to see a landscape from you, and it's very welcome for me because sometimes I'm amazed by the variety of wildlife you find and intrigued when you tell us they are on walks near your house. I'd like to see more of where you live so we can understand what your 'walks' look like!
Now to the photo...It takes a bit of effort to make a flat, semi-barren landscape an interesting photo and you've done the right thing here by using portrait mode and using the sky and reflection as the main feature. There's lots to look at top to bottom.
Thanks for sharing, really :)
Andy
p.s. Are you saving something extra special for your 200th post? (Timely reminder!)
