[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Vanessa atalanta - family Nymphalidae.

One of the most common species from Nymphalidae. It's common in whole Europe but in my opinion it's one of the most beautifull species.
In Autumn it's very easy to meet it in the garden when it drinking juice from fallen fruits. Also it's easy to attract this specie using old cheese ;-)

Caterpilars can be found usually on Urtica spp.

I agree: this is one of the most beautiful butterflies I have ever seen.
Your image is superb in every respect: POV, DOF, sharpness, clarity and colours. Can't think anything could be better than that.
Thanks for sharing it, Christoper.

Beautiful butterfly shot Christoper. Very good colors, great POV and very good sharpness. This is a very nice composition. Well done. TFS.

Czesc Krzysiek!
To chyba moj ulubiony motyl. Bardzo stonowane ale stylowe kolory, piekne szczegoly, dobra kompozycja. Stare liscie troche nie pasuja do jego piekna :-) Bardzo ladne zdjecie.
ps. twoja strona o motylach jest po prostu genialna.
