Ochlodes sylvanus - family Hesperiidae.

I've taken this picture yesterday. It was dark, stormy and windy day but sometimes the Sun were visible. All the butterflies were sitting in the grass and become to be active only when the Sun was shining. Otherwise they are very lazy - I could go very closely. This picture was taken from distance about 20 cm!

Few words about the species: the butterflies are on the fly in June and July. Usually you can meet them on meadows and clearings. They flies very fast and are rather shy - it's not easy to make nice close-up without good macro lens ;-)

Small caterpilars can be found on different grasses in Spring and Autumn. The caterpilars is overwinting.

Czesc Krzysiek!

Bardzo ladne zdjecie skiperka. Wdzieczny motyl, ladne ujecie i kolory. Kompozycja z kwiatem koniczyny tez swietna. 20 cm mowisz? Ja niestety musze czesto probowac robic makra z 2-3 cm ;-) Czasem nawet sie udaje :-)

To jest sliczne! Bardzo ostre, perfekcyjnie skadrowane i ze swietna GO. Kolory sa bardzo naturalne, a swiatlo perfekt.
Bardzo mi sie podoba!

PS. Co do tych 20cm to sie chyba zgadzam z Grzeskiem. Moj aparat musze miec tuz przed "nosem" motyla, zeby wyszlo cos sensownego. Dlatego zawsze sa niezle podchody, zeby podejsc blisko i nie sploszyc motyla. Urok kompaktów ;-)
