This isn't harmonious!! This is WAR! You say, "they're rather easy to capture!" Fooey!! I've only seen them once in the last 2.6 years!!
Actually this is nice and sharp Greg, you show it well, but I'd rather see a DUCK!

Very good shot, sharpness and bg are perfect. Maybe the quadrimaculata is not the most colourful dragonfly, but it's still spectacular... and it looks easier to take than other species (last time i went out hunting it was the only kind that agreed to LAND sometimes ;-)).

wow very nice, this year i have succeded couple of shot to this species but not even close of your.
here is a rare species so also not to often to see (i work with "dragons" and only 6 view of this species)... but someday i will have one perfect photo.

and yes this is not a easy specie to approach, at least here in Romania.

this is a beauty wiht pefect DOF, the small sensor really pays of wiht quite big aperture. The details and colours are very good. I like the POV and compostion too.

Excellent sharp detail in this shot from top to bottom. Nice saturated colors. Great backround allows all the detail in the wings to show thru. I guess now I am required to go slay my own dragon???

Great shot Greg, the S2 has done very well here. You might think they're easy to take, but not so down here in Oz. Here you have to work hard for dragon shots.

Ha-ha-ha, Janice is just jealous, but I rather agree with her "Fooey!!" I have sympathy with her surprise in, "You say, "they're rather easy to capture!" but for a slight different reason. Unfortunately for her, she do not see D/D's often (shame, only once in 2.6 years) where I might see some more often, but boy oh boy, they sure are not easy to capture with a DSLR. I think an 'Iron man/woman' competition is less stressful.
Greg you have done a swell job here capturing this Four-spotted Chaser - Libellula quadrimaculata. I have done a workshop to address the colour which you can compare in the ARKive site, but further your shot is immaculate.
The composition is great, the details are spectacular, the BG is absolutely amazing, and the exposure was perfectly managed.
