[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo about hour ago, when I was returning from Botanic Garden. I was walking hour or maybe bit longer, taking photos and enjoying this beautifull time of day and year. Everything seems to be happy now. I found few butterflies, spiders, birds, but nothing very special. I left Botanic Garden and entered my concrete [but full of plants also] housing estate. Suddenly I spotted big and colorfull butterfly. It was beautifull Vanessa Atalanta. It was sitting in the middle of small road between houses. I tried to take a photo but many people walked along this road and time after time they scared away my prey. At the end I did it! I took photo of this beauty in the middle of crowded road. And look at this shadow - weird is good word to describe it.

Why this strange title? Yesterday I saw very good and touching movie titled 'The Blue Butterfly'.

IMDB says:
'Based on a true story, The Blue Butterfly tells the story of a terminally ill 10-year-old boy whose dream is to catch the most beautiful butterfly on Earth, the mythic and elusive Blue Morpho. His mother persuades a renowned entomologist to take them on a trip to the jungle to search for the butterfly, leading to an adventure that will transform their lives.'

Bonjour,
C'est toujours difficile de faire une photo originale de papillon .
Ici le pari est réussi. Bravo.

A pleasure to look at, my friend. I love the shadows and lights in this one. Great detail and composition too, making that sad BG look atractive.
I shot the same also landed in the soil of a path, they seem to like it.
Very beautiful. Regards.

Well captured Greg,
That's a very odd shadow, also the antenaae look like little head lights ;)
Good detail, colours and sharpness. exposure and lighting are good. Good POV and composition.

Thanks for posting, have a great week my friend.

Hi Greg

I love the shot and the way the sun has fallen on this beautiful insect to make a great shadow. Lovely colours. I like your note too. The movie, 'The Blue Butterfly', sounds nice. Will look it up on google. :-)

Hi Greg,
Interesting shot and shadow cast. I think weird is good word to describe it :)
The low angle of the sun has helped to create not only this strange shadow, but very nice natural color as well.
Very well done.

Hello greg, what an excllent photo with this shadow, really colorful sharp and detailsa, Great work, TFS Kyle

Hi Greg,
The angle of the light creates an unusual shadow that does not appear to match the shape of the butterfly. Beautiful colors and sharp detail.
Very unique shot.

Hi Greg, good shot. The shadow does look a little weird. Nice details, colours and composition. I don't see how IMDB can say anything is mythis when it exists!

Great macro shot Greg. Great sharpness, details, clarity and POV. Great colours and composition too. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Greg,
The shadow is really weird! But that's good for the puicture. I've never catched this butterfly. They are too quick for me. Maybe this year...
