Well look who's back! :) Hi Monika! Great to see you posting again! I was wondering when you would show up again :)

A very nice post, taken from a great POV, wit hexcellent DOF and very good exposure management. The total blurry BG works very well, making the beautiful colors of the dragonfly stand out even better. Very well done!

PS: did you compensate the exposure by any measure? i'm asking this beacuse it appears a very bit dark, just like the other taken with this lens. (i like to learn as much as possible about a lens before i buy one :))

First of all, welcome to TN, i'm sure you will like here! Ha ha ha! Have we met before? Looks like i have the feeling that i know you :-)
This is really a great shot, i like this dark compositions especially with that brown tones but i'm agree with Horia! Is that what you want? or anything about the lens could be! i felt that this should be your choice, but your gallery getting brownish everyday. (again, i feel like i remember this sentence also) pov and pose just great! bg is wonderful, dark gloomy mood, you know i like it.

I absolutely agree with you; most of the dragonflies are obliging to the photographers. I experienced it recently while shooting them in Mumbai, India.
Your image of this darter/skimmer or whatever is just beautiful.

what great sharpness and wonderful detail you have caught. the OOF BG and the complementary colours of the stalk, dried eed head and the dragonfly are wonderful.

Great show of the Darter, once again a perfect shot from you with him standing out so well against the blurred BG. The golden tones certainly make the whole image look excellent... I love images like this.

Strong and simple composition, excellent sharpness and very difficult to get a shot like this. Tha colours of the background fit perfect with the colours of the darter. Excellent sharpness. The composition is perfect and I love the two diagonal lines. A fantastic shot and IMO second to none. Well done.
