This time VERY rare species - Pericalia matronula from Arctiidae. In most countries of Europe it's protected species.
The caterpilars feeds on different foodplants like:
* Corylus spp.
* Lonicera xyloseteum L.
* Salix caprea L.
* Fraxinus spp.
* Leontdon spp.
The caterpilars overwinters twice before pupating. The picture presents adult caterpilar. I hope you'll like it ;-) |
