[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Few days ago I've posted the picture of Tettigonia cantans that I have taken in Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska. Today I want to present another picture taken in this region of Poland.

Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska it is the highland region between Częstochowa in the north and Kraków in the south.
The hills reaches 300-500 meters above sea level. Additionally the rocks are built from limestone. The karst phenomena caused that in this region there are many interesting caves as well as many different outliers that have strange shapes.

In the picture you can see Hercules mace (Do you know the legend of ancient greek heros - Hercules, who had to do 12 very difficult works as a punishment?). As the rock looks like a mace (a very big mace) it is dedicated to such a strong man as Hercules. It is so big that only he could use it.

The picture was cropped and I've changed levels.

Hi Ania,
I liked this rock from the first time I saw the picture, since I learned its name, it became even more interesting for me. I think it would make a wonderful movie set.
You chose a very good perspective for this colossal apparition, with good reference to the surrounding area.
I tried to enhance the sharpness in a quick workshop, I hope you don't mind :)
TFS,
Toni.

Pozdrawiam
Krzys

Interesting landmark, Ania. Well-seen and presented. Must have been a challenging climb up there to put the cross on top. Hope it doesn't get toppled in time. The compo in the workshop is good. TFS

What a great rock formation, the vertical crop really shows off the height. Lovely colours and a great subject

Strange and interesting rock Ania!
I love the blue sky behind the gray stone!
It is striking flanked by the green shrubs.
Good show!
