[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A very beautiful moth rare in Portugal.
I have the opportunity to photograph it at Natural Parque of Peneda Gerês, in Portugal.
It belongs to the Arctiidae Arctiinae.
The wingspan is 52-58 mm.
The food plants of their caterpillars are Lamium, Epilobium, Corylus, Rubus, Lonicera, Sarothamnus and Urtica.
It flies both in the daytime, when it can be found feeding on various flowers, as well as at night, when it is attracted to light.
In Portugal we can see it flies from July to August.
It has very beautiful red orange underside wings, only visible when flying.
