Great first post, I like your composition and pose as it is an unusual angle, nice detail and good colours. I think it is a Painted Lady which is one of my Favourite Butterflies.

Welcome to TN. A great opening shot, an interesting and good POV. Great detail and textures, excellent colours. Good DOF, perhaps a little shallow but a minor point. Nice work.

Thanks for a great opening post. The contrast and colour saturation is excellent. Great point of view and composition too. The sharpness is there in the eye area but I would have liked to see a deeper DOF to see more of the butterfly in focus.
Well done however! I look forward to seeing more of your photos.
