Hallo Paulo,
unfortunately, species of Gonepteryx have their wings closed when resting in most cases. The nice orange colour of the wing upperside can be slightly recognized on your picture. However, details of wing venation and colour pattern of the underside are clearly presented in good sharpness.

Semella que de cando en cando o macro si trabalha bem. Debes levar a tua camara a reparar, a o millor non e moi grave.
As volvoretas amarelas que atopo por aqui, son moi inquetas, moi dificiles de fotografiar. Ista beleza con nome egipcio merecia unha boa toma coma ista. Saudos amigo!

A very sharp capture of this lovely butterfly. IMHO you could have reduced the brightness a little bit and it would have brought out more colour and contrast in the insect.
I have been knocked down real bad by the flu bug and struggle to concentrate. So, please forgive me for not giving a complete critique, but I just wanted to deliver this well deserved smiley.

Hello Paulo,
Very good shot! The details on the wings are great and picture has good exposure too. As for my taste the BG is a bit too overhelming because of strong colour and structure of the green leaves. I think they take a bit too much attention from the butterfly.
Anyway, it's a good post.
