Hi Paulo
A lovely capture of this damselfly showing brilliant colours and details in those delicate wings. I like this upright pose she gave you.
The composition is very nice and the OOF BG compliments the insect very well. You have achieved excellent DOF with the f/4 aperture, but that again is probably attributed to the amazing performance of these modern compact digital cameras. The exposure was also very well managed.

Hi Paulo.
In my first posts in TN, two years ago, I asked other members if Virgo or Splendes, as they sometimes are very similar, and not easy to ident, now I am almost sure, they where all Virgos.
Well done to get this withut flash, the metallic colours are really nice, and the eye detailed.

It's not a so easy species to shot because it is very fast to fly off. I spend many and many times to try to photograph it, so I currently now that such a kind of picture is very difficult to do!

a very nice close-up of this lovely damselfly.
IMO the BG is a bit disturbing, either the black or the oof green, maybe you couild choosed another angle.
The details and colours are nice and the DOF is good too.

Nice shot! Simple POV and framing work well, picture has good details too. It seems you had a harsh light because some spots are overexposed and the picture is generaly quite bright. Overall, it's a good shot though.

somehow I missed this damsel, it's so beautiful. Wonderful colours and sharpness on this marvelous metallic insect. They are not easy to catch, so shy. I also tried it some days ago, I have seen many of them, but all were so far away, I haven't had a chance for a good shot. So thanks for sharing yours, very well done, bye

What's a nice "diagonal". It's a very rare case, when the dark triangle not only does not spoil, but strengthens positive perception of a picture. Crystal cleanliness and subtlety of lines are distinctive feature of this shot. TFS.

Calopteryx are among the most elegant damsels, this one is very beautiful, with good POV and excellent sharpness, head and wings being both in focus. Just a touch of regret for the cluttered background, but it's something we all have to deal with frequently. TFS, Jerome.
