A spider that hunted a bee!
It wasn't a common moment in Nature.
I was lucky to catch this scene, early morning, in my country's vilage.
I don't know the cientific name of the spider but the bee is Apis melifera.
Now, I know the cientific name of the spider: Synaema globosum. Thanks to Paul Prince, from United Kingdom!

Hello Paulo, very nice shot. I think I can help you with the spider ID, it's Synaema globosum belonging to the Thomisidae family. Great capture of this moment. The details, colour and composition excellent. Well done.

Talk about David and Goliath ;-)
Like Gert I hope the spider has a fridge - or he'll have to invite a few friends over for dinner ;-))
Nice and sharp capture with good details, colours and DOF. The subject is rather centered, I'd have preferred a more asymmetric POV with the spider and prey moved down and to the right, so they aren't in dead center of the photo.

This is superb shot Paulo!
Razor sharp details, great light and colours, but first of all great scene captured. Photo is almost perfect, but I would maybe crop a bit more from below.
Anyway, I like it very much.
WELL DONE!

Paulo Henrique, excelente foto para nos mostrar este grande momento.

Bela nitidez e belo fundo desfocado. Também gosto das cores e do ângulo.

Belle photo, j'aime beaucoup le cycle de vie de la nature. Cette petite araignée qui ma manger cette grosse abeille.
Nico.

Excellent macro Paulo! Very good light, color and details. Looks like this crab spider is getting fat off the bounty! Well done.
Thank You.

Great capture!

wow, so small and so strong. lol I like a lot the colors of the spider. Very nice record. A clean and sharp image. Well done, Gabriel

Hi Paulo!
What an interesting moment you captured here! A spider taking on a much larger prey. I think that the bee must have been weakened for some reason to allow this spider to feast on it. Good sharpness and nice background blur. Regards,
Mark
