Welcome back. I trust you had a wonderful vacation and that you are going to spoil us with some lovely photographs. This beetle surely has some very interesting features and is indeed a beauty. The knobs on the body are rather eye-catching and so are the segmented antennas. The dark colours of the beetle are displayed well against the bright yellow flower. The beetle as well as the flower is well focused and sharp. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Precioso conjunto Dietrich con aspectos sobresalientes como la pose del insecto y la bella gama de colores del conjunto.
Hace tiempo que no visitaba tu galería y he visto trabajos impresionantes, como el titulado " zoom in " donde nos das una lección de macro :-)

Hello Dietrich,

A very attractive image. The colors of the beetle contrast nicely with the color of the flower. Good sharpness, maybe a little too much depth of field though, as the background isn't quite as soft as it could be, resulting in it being just a bit distracting. An SLR would have made it easier to get that nice, smooth background, as the point-and-shoots have inherent extreme depth of field, which often is a good thing for close-up nature work, but doesn't flatter this particular image.

Hello Dietrich,
A nice sharp macro of this 'red-collared sunny bull', well seen on the yellow composite flower from thiis dorsal POV and the small droplets of water add interest. You also achieved a fine diffuse BG with your compact.
I can't imagine the reason for 'tuarus' in the generic name, but perhaps a related species has some bull features: one can only speculate.

La prise de vue rapprochée permet de voir les détails et les couleurs de l'insecte et de la fleur. Le sujet est bien cadré. Le flou de l'arrière-plan met en évidence l'insecte et la fleur. La lumière met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.
