i photograph this shell in the sand of a beach near Setúbal. i've desaturated the image and then i applied a sephia filter. i like the contrasts, lines and shapes.

The technical aspects are quite good. However, the composition could have been better.

Having the center of interest in the center of the frame is rarely an effective arrangement. In this shot, it could also have been more interesting if the line through the centers of the shells had been set at almost any angle other than horizontal.
