Nice shot! This is one of the true Crocus family - I think probably Crocus nudiflorus from the flowering time. It's easy to distinguish from the Colchicum species that flower at this time, because the true Crocus only has three stamens - Colchicum has six. The lighting is good, and the flowers show a lot of detail and colour. I find the dead leaves a slightly distracting, and IMO the frame could be less intrusive - although I do like it. Anyway, well captured :-D
I love the shot all nicely in focus and well sen.
As to Ident it is definatley a True autumn flowering Crocus but not been able to confirm as nudiflorus though that would be the right one for where you took the image., in my books it looks quiet a bit darker than this and the stigma seems to be smaller. What I would suggest you do know is to get on the net with this information and trawl though the images till you find one that matches. Then update the image to a TN standard with the informaion and details about the place where you found it and any preperation work you did.
Great contrast of colours in this bloom. Excellent DOF. Good background
Very nice, colours, pause etc. I didn't like the torn frame. The photo is beautiful enough, and colourdul enough without it. Ori
