Same situation here - week ago about +12C and today all is covered by snow. Hard to believe you captured this flower a week ago! First messenger of spring, unfortunatelly too fast one. Great picture and dedication.

A fine portrait of this Helleborus flower. Ulla will be delighted when she sees this! The low POV is great and the flower is captured from a fine angle with excellent sharpness, lighting and great DOF to give a superb OOF natural BG.

Thank you for your very kind dedication - yes I do love them and it must be wonderful to see them in the wild! This is a beautiful capture of the dark H. purpurescens showing very fine clear details and the beautiful colours. I like your low POV and the leaves framing the flower. A beautiful colour of the background too.
We seem to have exactly the same weather as you have here now, about 15 cm of snow still resting on the trees and bushes - very beautiful and sunny today but cold!
