[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Eurasian jay {Garrulus glandarius) might be the most beautiful bird in the Corvids family. These birds are among the most intelligent avian species. In autumn they store acorns and other nuts and seeds. This catches helps to sustain during winter time when other feeding opportunities are limited. During the summer, Jays may raid the nests of other birds, talking both eggs and chicks.

Range extends through the whole of Europe, except Scotland and much of Norway. Also present in north-western Africa and Asia. Throughout their wide range there is some local variation in the appearance of these Jays. However, their harsh call coupled with a flash of color help to identify them.

Jays are shy by nature and rarely allow a close approach. I was happy being able to get close enough to take this photo with the Jay in a fine light.

Excelente trabajo Cristian !

Que bien captaste las texturas y las ondulaciones del plumaje de este pájaro. Luz en su punto y un excelente enfoque. El encuadre casi inmejorable, así como la postura del ave. Enhorabuena.

Hello Cristian,
A very fine picture of the beautiful Eurasian Jay. On your picture it seems to be a very friendly bird, I know them more agressive and making quite a lot of noise. I like your vertical framing and the fine and subtle colors of the picture.
Thanks and best regards
Anne

Ohhh... a fine capture from frontal POV of this beauty Cristian. i also observed so many specimens in here, campus area, but i could not achieve to take such perfect shot. They are very sensitive to movements.
TFS and cheers MF!
