That is a familiar habbitude bethween species. The ants are like "humans" and the aphids are the "cattles". That symbiosis of Ants (Formicidae) and Aphids (Aphidoidea) is very common in nature....the afids are saved from death and the ants take their daily swwet meal.

Hi Ungureanu , a nice nature photo , great notes , I have read that the ants will not only defend the aphids , but also transport them to new food sources, a fascinating insect pairing. TFS
