I don't remember exactly were I took this picture: In Ceahlau or in the Calimani mountains. Problabli in the Calimani.
Arnica montana
A. montana is endemic to Europe, from southern Iberia to southern Scandinavia and the Carpathians. It is absent from the British Isles and the Italian and Balkan Peninsulas.
A. montana has tall stems (20–60 cm), supporting usually a single flower head. Most of the leaves are in a basal rosette, but one or two pairs may be found on the stem and are, unusually for composites, opposite. The flower heads are yellow, approximately 5 cm in diameter, and appear from May to August.
Arnica grows on montane to alpine meadows and pastures and in light forests up to the alpine level.
I Romania, the species in included in the Red List, and tomorrow I will tell which status it has.

Buna Oana,

Ai factu o fotografie cu o compozitie foarte placuta. Floarea este bine plasata iar culoarea ei contrasteaza placut cu fundalul.

Agréable publication minimaliste mais bien composée à laquelle il manque, peu-être, un peu de netteté.

The most healing drug I know of..and banned in the US....can you believe it...one can grow it but one cannot make it into a medicinal because of the possibly of ti enter the bloodstream from putting on a bruise..YET it works better than anything for a bruise...as long as the skin has not broken..I have used it...it works..period end of story and great image!

A fine capture of Arnica montana, a species that in Sweden is an indicator of unspoilt meadows and it is not common.
I like the way you concentrated on just the flower, which you captured with fine sharpness and good isolation from the BG.

A lovely straightforward yet beautiful flower captured beautifully. A delightful view with fine details to appreciate.
