[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hieracium aurantiacum is native to alpine regions of central and southern Europe, but was introduced to America, Asia and Australia as a garden plant, due to its natural beauty. Now, in some areas outside the Europe it is considered an invasive species, a noxious weed, while in few regions of Europe (its natural habitat) Hieracium aurantiacum is a protected species. In Romania, the species is still frequent in alpine pastures and doesn't have a special protection status.
