[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture was realized during a birding trip the the Danube Delta, one of Europe's finest places to watch birds.
The camera was handheld sitting in a small boat passing through the numerous small channels with birds sitting and flying everywhere, in the trees, in the reeds, on the water or flying by. Visiting the Danube delta and spending several days on a boat is one the best birding experiences I ever lived.
This Purple heron just caught the frog and flew away when we approached at about 30 meters. Birds are not shy here because they are used to the boat traffic.
This is one of my favourite pictures!

Hi Tom,
Beautiful and special image, Tom.
You could be puzzled about the sharpness.
Having said that, you can distinguish very good the frog and I do like that. Besides the blurred wings are very much indicating the movement, the in flight.
