| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
There are few weeks since I was last time in the Victoria birds colony, accompanied by Cosmin, so I decided to visit it this morning. If in May here were full of starlings, bee-eaters, rollers, sparrows, a pair of Falco tinnunculus and a Little owl, today I saw only bee-eaters and few rollers. The absence of starlings made the life in the colony very peaceful.
All bee-eaters and rollers are catching insects for the chicks. I observed the colony around two hours. There are aproximately 3-5 roller nests and 40-45 bee- eaters nests. Every 3-4 minutes a bird brought an insect to his nest so the quantity of insects eaten is huge.
I used Nikon D70+Sigma 170-500mm at 500 mm, in A mode, from my car, ISO 200, 25 m distance. |

A beautiful capture!
I like very much the clear view and details you got on this roller.
Excellent pose and so nice the blue tone of its plumage.
It's very good the DOF and the blurred background got.

super. presupun ca este un crop.
eu personal as fi lasat mai mult spatiu deasupra pasarii pentru ca ochii sa fie undeva pe linia de treime.
