[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
June is the month of chicken in Dobrogea. I posted last time on TN the Kestrel's chickens. In the same location, Malcoci, not far from the Kestrel's nest, Isaw two Little Owl chicks. It was late in the evening and it was last time when I saw the chicks togather. Next morning and evening I came back to see them again. They where far off each other. Theyr mamy still brought them food, large grasshoppers while chicks are well developed, having the same size as the mother.

I used Canon 30D + Canon 400 5,6L USM + Tamron 1,4 teleconv. Shutter priority, 1/800 s; f=5,6; 800 ISO; from my car, camera proped up on the car window.

Hello Bandacu,
Beautiful photo with great details!
Well done!

Dear Bandacu,
Lovely creatures... I am mad about owls...
The details are really good, just a pity it looks slightly grainy, I assume, coming from high ISO...
Anyway, a good document!

Very nice shot with a good sharpness and composition. The two birds are watching you... Very well done.

Catherine

Hello Dan,
Wonderful composition with great colors and razor sharp details. What a pair of cuties. Thank you for sharing Dan.

Hello Bandacu,
These poses are irresistible. Very good sharpness, details and a great composition. But on my screen there's a lot of noise in this photo. Specially in the BG. A pity.
But it is a wonderful photo.
Regards,
Peter

I love the pose, especially the tilt of the head of brother one. He seems quite inquisitive - either that or he's starving. I also like the POV and the composition. The eyes are bright, focused, and it's as if they are looking at me.

The colors are fantastic, but aside from their eyes, I noticed how well their plumage blends into the background. Mother Nature's artistry at work yet again. These are positively cute!

By the way, I also see some noise in the BG, but not enough to distract me from the subject. This is a WOW photo. :)

How fantastic to be able to photograph owls from one's vehicle. We look and look for signs of owl, occasionally hear them but never get close enough for a photo. This is a super shot. I love the verticals and diagonal of the natural habitat and the expressions on these two is priceless. Nice work.

Hello Dan

This is lovely.
Excellent moment captured with terrific eye contact.
Well focused with wonderful detail.
I like the placement of the owls on the diagonal slope in the frame, and the curious tilt of the h ead of the lower owl.
Very well done.
