It's wonderful to see some fresh spring shots again!! This is a very lovely composition showing the first Commas on the Salix perfectly in focus and in nice colours. I like the second blurred twig against the soft blue background. Well done!

La verdad es que la primavera ya la tenemos encima y con ello multitud de oportunidades para captar con los macros, insectos, flores y dentro de los insectos a las mariposas que hay tantas y tan diferentes, pero todas bonitas.
Buena composición la que nos muestras, que nos indica lo comentado arriba, que ya es primavera.

This is a really good composition!
I like it a lot.
It's very good the fill flash used, you got clear details in the foreclose elements.
Like you mention, is an advantage be able to see the butterflies from upper and down views.
I like the neutral background got.

Hi Horia.
The spring does only first steps at us. Insects and others animals practically are not present yet.

You managed to create a very nice spring shot. Its composition is really amazing as well as the lighting, details and colours. I like your POV and DOF so much but it is very interesting to me: could you use f/8? The light conditions it seems to me were very good. Superb done and TFS.

Salut Horia,

Ce bine ca cineva imi aminteste de si mie ca primavara este pe aproape! Incepeam sa simt dorul de fluturi si altele.
Compozitia ta este foarte reusita si trebuie sa spun ca apreciez extraordinar faptul ca cele doua crengi nu se intersecteaza exact in mijlocul fotografiei. Deasemenea ma bucur ca nu ai optat pentru un close-up pe unul dintre fluturi, cum cred ca as fi procedat eu si ai incercat un punct de vedere diferit. Albastrul cerului este probabil cel mai potrivit fundal pentru un astfel de shot. Culorile sunt vii si frumoase si cred ca nici o alta culoare nu le-ar scoate in evidenta mai bine decat albastrul.
Se pare ca la voi a venit deja primavara! Cred ca de-abia astepti sa-ti cumperi un dSLR si sa pleci in excursii :) Te tachinez acum dar sunt convins ca o sa te bucuri in curand de el. Pana atunci toate cele bune!

See, the architect in you saw this very nice structure created by this X. I like it! This is a superb capture and yes, spring is a beautiful season. It is not here yet but it'll be soon as some birds have already returned from south.

This is very well composed with excellent details and it is so cool that you could catch two butterflies at the same time. I love those details and colors and this pastel blue sky as BG. This is a very nice one. Thanks,

La estética y la composición son los puntos fuertes de esta imagen Horia con el punto de vista ideal para captar tan bella escena.
Buen aprovechamiento del cielo como trasfondo realzando el primer plano, gracias también al exacto enfoque y agudeza, aunque creo que podrías haber utilizado el máximo de profundidad que brinda tu S2.

The aesthetics and the composition are the strong points of this image Horia with the ideal point of view to capture so beautiful scene.
Good use of the sky like background enhancing the forefront, due you also to the exact focus and sharpness, although I believe that you could have used the maximum of depth that your S2 offer.

bonjour horia
ah celui si je l'ai eu avant hier mais pas encore publié,c'est le plein retour des papillon pour notre plus grand bonheur(un citron m'a fait remper cet apres midi!).
bon pas la pour parler de la pluie et du beau temps.
sur cette photo grace au deux papillon on voit le coté pile tres coloré et le cote face plutot camoufflage,le tout avec un bon POV.

Hmmmm Horia,
spring is well presented here. The flowering tree (willow?) and butterflies look great and are really well exposed (seriously!). I doubt about the background twig. I think it would have been nicer, maybe from another angele. But then again, dunno if it was possible.

Here it's still not that definite if the spring has come or not. We had few days of nicer weather but now it's cold again...

Anyway I like very much this composition and optimistic bright colours. Comas (and brimstones) are always a good sign of spring...

I like this butterfly composition, the criss crossing of the branches gives it a wonderful look. The POV allows to see both butterflies from an different perspective and shows us both sides of the wings. A very interesting capture perfectly presented.
