Too cute, this young badger was a temporary guest of the local ,,Ocolul Silvic,, the Romanian version of the National Forests Service local ranger station. Very nice guys, the rangers were OK to let me take pictures of "Panda" as they named him .
So much like his American counterpart i`ve seen and imortalised, they make a hard to forget sight.
Looks like he is telling you : ,,My mommy told me i`m special !!! " American badger (Taxidea taxus) vs. the European badger (Meles meles) tend to be larger in size and less colored ...

Oh yeah... this is cute... I really like this little fellow and its fine pose here... The black and white colors of the animal and the color of the ground makes a nice balance...TFS...Ina...

he cuteness factor is in the red here, Radu. Such a nice sight. I don't think I have seen this before. I would not like to try and get the exposure right on this critter though. Very well done.

Hi Radu
You had me there for a moment - the panda connection - this is a new badger for me, TFS, I appreciate. I know his SA cousin, Mr Badger from the UK, and even wolverine, who is of the same spesies, but have never seen thid one - love the claws, and the face - I can just imagine him growing up into as billigirent a fellow as his sire!
