Hi Horia. Its good to look back some times we find pictures we had passed by. This is a very good close up. well focused and fine deatil. I like the pose on the twig. good colours .and a nice POV/DOF. well done TFS.

Excellent portrait of a male C. Splendens, looking good on its perch against the watery BG. Fine lighting and technical qualities, but I understand your frustration in not being able to get out into the countryside and use your new equipment.
This species lends itself to be shown many times on TN!
Hope you have the chance to get out into nature soon!

Dear Horia,
You are right, this is another Odonata picture. But so what? Is it wrong to present more than one picture of the some species if all photos are have very good quality? I DO NOT THINK SO! :>
I believe that to take this picture was not easy, especially that these species do not like human activity next to it :)
Very nice pose (I think a pose of male waiting for females), good colours, sharpness and note (especially good to see picture data).

This is a stunningly sharp image from a camera that I owned and foolishly sold to upgrade to a canon slr...You have really demonstrated its capabilites perfectly and I look forward to seeing your pictures from your new kit..I know that if you can use the s2 so proficiently then theres some stunning pictures to come from your new kit..I hope you get a window to get out of town and share with us your new pictures.

Salut Horia,

Fotografia asta mi-a atras atentia pentru ca si eu am intalnit si fotografiat specia asta anul trecut langa Purcareni. N-as putea sa fac diferenta intre un mascul si o femela.
Imi place mult compozitia ta cu apa in fundal si fara nici un element care sa distraga atentia. DOF pe care il obti cu camera veche e de vis. Culorile sunt naturale si stiu si eu cat de fain arata albastrul de pe aripi cand zboara in soare. Merci!
