Hi friends,

I've been again away for a business trip these past few days and i see that i'm again behind with my critiques. I apologize to all of you!

I'm taking a small break from my Croatia landscapes now and i'm presenting you a simple stream i've walked by this summer during a trip to the mountains.
The place was quite dark (a lot of trees around, too) but the water had such a nice flow that i couldn't resist a shot like this. I have to admit i'm quite lucky to live in such an area - the Bihor County. If you look at my gallery, most of my Romanian photos are taken here and the great part about it is that is hosts such a huge variety of places and habitats that you really can't get enough of. The nice thing is that they are also rather close to one-another (it's not a big county) but the bad thing for me is again the fact that i can't get a driver's license :( Ehh well...that's what good friends are for :)

I know that long exposures aren't popular for everyone, but here i has no choice if i wanted to keep everything in good focus.

Hope you'll like it and thanks for looking :)

Hello Horia,
this is wonderful landscape. Fantastic lighting, colours, great sharpness and POV. This is a great composition. Thank you for posting.
Best regards Siggi

Hello Horia,
beautifulst release. the green is not always easy to photograph but in this photo you have known to take the true essence of the forest with the beautiful shadings of colors. The water gives movement to the photo in its complex.

Hi Horia,
So today seems to be landscapes friday!
I like the most the wide tonal range got on the picture, you had zones more illuminated than others, so that produced rich green hues all over, besides sense of depth.
It's very good the framing and composition, you created virtual directions along diagonals, both with the river and rock/moses at the fore left side.
Great picture and thanks for share it.
Best regards,
JM

frumos. imi este dor sa simt astfel de peisaje pe viu.

Hallo Horia
The colours of the various aspects of nature all in this one image and the light captured are just great. It has such a calming effect only looking at it on the screen. I think the feeling experiencing it in the real must be awesome. You are very fortunate to have these sceneries to photograph and just adore for its beauty. This is a stunning image. A warm and refreshing sight on this slightly cold day in South Africa. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

You most certainly do have a way of bring up the light in what looks to be a darker area...the tricks of the trade eh Horia?! Some of these places look like out of fairy tales...where sprites and elves wander around unseen but spirit felt....but then I am always the waxing romantic...very nice image..
Bob

Buna Horia
Toate cele bune, Oana
PS:Intrebare: expunerea lunga, din cate amvazut si in alte fotografii, folosita de obicei, seara, dimineata, padure deasa...unde , cand e mai putina lumina. In nici un caz, ziua, in amiaza mare. Corect?

hello horia,
very pleasing scenery, the use of slow shutter speed has resulted in beautiful effect, the lush green looks so soothing, well composed shot,
tfs & regards

Hello Horia,
The superb composition, lighting and colours are the finest aspects of this image. Though I am not a landscape photographer I admire those who can take fine landscape images and this one is to be admired!
However, as I am not keen on the 'steaminess' of long exposure images with moving water I would have increased the shutterspeed by a couple of stops and I think that here you would not have lost the DOF and sharpness.
TFS this beauty and have a good weekend,
Ivan

Hello Horia,
What a wonderful scenery. The light and colours are splendid. I think there was no wind at all, because the only move is in the water. The rest is pin sharp. Perfect composition.
Regards,
Peter

Hi Horia!

Fantastic place to take photos and rest. Long exposure is good idea here. I would like to see this place in autumnal red/golden colours. It must looks great! Sometimes such places are much better than well known landscapes. And I agree Bihor is beautifull, pity that I was there for only few days.

By the way, I don't know way but your title reminds me an old heavy metal song - 'little pig, little pig let me in!!!' ;-)

hi Horia,
very beautiful visual and great management
of light...compliments

Hello Horia

A wonderful view of this peaceful creek.
The shot has a definite sense of where it is coming from and where it is going. It flows well through a lush and beautiful wooded area.My kind of place.
Well composed with sharp detail and focus.
The fluidity of the water is super and the long exposure gives a wonderful silky appearance.

Hello Horia,
Very nice long exposure - I'm one of those that like it :-) Also, I like very much this cold light and green atmosphere. Were there any gammarids in the stream?
Best greetings,
Michal

Hi Bogdan.

Incredible beautiful photo. Or should I say: Ne znam da li sam dobro shvatio, ali ako si iz Hrvatske, onda se razumemo odlicno. Fotografija je divna kao i u ostalom skoro sve u tvojoj galeriji. Zaista je bilo uzivanje gledati.

Sve najbolje.
David

Hi Again
well i'm not really a big fan of long exposures myself....;o) Just kidding, obviously! I think it looks great mate, beautifully composed with wonderful rich colours. This is a great example of how and when to use a circular polariser properly.

(i am with you!!)

Hi Horia,
What a very beautiful little stream you've found here. The way it covered under a heavy canopy of trees give it a very pleasant feeling. Its also wonderful to see such great clarity in the water. I can surely imagine that you want to return to this place in a few weeks and capture the magic of fall. Did you notice that there is a slight blue/purple hue over the back rapid? I think its a bit of color fringing caused by the direct light.
TFS,
Niek

You've done a very nice job here, I like how you've managed to show how clear the water is! Nicely captured,
TFS
