Hi again,

After a week of warm sunny days here, i planned a little trip out for today and hoped i could take some more beautiful autumn foliage photos.

As is the rule, what you plan never turns out the way you hope, today we had some very thick clouds and on top of that lot of fog towards the mountains. Even so, we kept on going and found some nice forests and elements i could work with.

Here, an old tree caught my attention with its old texture. Around it, there was this lovely, thick carpet of fallen leaves and behind it you can see the river and some rapids.

Hope you'll like it, too and thanks for visiting!

Hello Horia,
Beautiful picture lovey composed with great autumn colours and sharpness, Excellent Point of view, I love the wanderful scene of autumn, lovely place for relaxing.Great shot.
Regards Siggi

Fantastic compo, Horia.
I don't think there isn't too much wide angle involved. I think you know what I mean. So, it looks natural and you have the compo as well. Same thing concerning the colors; they do look natural and beautiful.
Well done

Hi Horia
This is gorgeous! The dark tree trunk add so much interest and contrast to your image. I like the deep rills in the bark and how it holds leaves that have fallen. The colours are awesome. This would make a really nice painting.

Your landscape work has really picked up my day:-) Sometimes I feel like the only kid on the block, but you do this quite well...it is certainly an image I would not have overlooked had I been there..

Hello Horia,

I like your choice of subject a lot. The old tree with its carpet of leavesis wonderful. I think in this case I would have preferred a faster shutter speed rendering the river a bit darker. It is a lovely composition.

Hello Horia

A great composition - I like the way the gnarled tree trunk is 'reflected' in the forms of the moving water. Nice colours too. I think the dull weather helped this shot - helping to bring out the subtle detail.

What a great shape the old tree is. I can see a bear standing there with his hands out.
Lovely autumn colours Horia and the river looks good too,

Buen ángulo de disparo que nos permite contemplar muchos aspectos de la estación en que nos encontramos. Melancólica por las tonalidades y el tronco crea un contraste que le da la gracia a tu fotografía. Interesante realización técnica.

Hi Horia!
Simple ideas are the best! And this is perfect example of perfect photo! I like composition a lot, the tree looks realy old, and the golden carper of leaves brings a lot of positive feelings. Additionally the river in the BG add special character for this image :)
TFS this autumn photo and have a nice evening!

Hello Horia,
I love it when old decaying trees are left to stand in the forest, they're havens for insects and birds and their old knobbly trunks and branches are so beautiful. This is a lovely capture, well composed and in lovely colours with a beautiful carpet on the floor! Very nice glimpse of the stream through the delicate Beech branches.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hello Horia,
This image tells me that you live in a beautiful area with what must be a fine biodiversity. The rushing stream, the beeches, the old dead tree are all indications of this as naturalist's paradise.
This is well composed with great light management and the POV and composition give one a feeling of space, a desire to see what is beyond the beech branches that we now have a glimpse of!
Thanks for sharing this delightful image,
Best wishes,
Ivan

Another wonderful autumn photo, Horia!
The colours here are beautiful!
Very good sharpness, texture and detail.
Nice lighting too.
Excellent composition as usual.

Well done mate,
Joe

Hi Horia!

I like it, especially because of the symbolic content. I don't know if this was your intention, but that's the way I see it: an old tree in autumn where autumn is the symbol of the last part in one's life. An old man in autumn...

The expression of the picture is very strong, and, moreover, shows very well the autumnla atmosphere with the corresponding colour tones and the carpet of leaves that is so pleasant to walk on...

Kind regards

Markus

Hi Horia,
What a find. The tree is a real beauty and it location may even be better. It view must have been great for a very long time. I love its rugged shape and how its positioned so nicely on top of the hill. The wonderful fall leaves on the floor and in the other trees combined with the fast flowing river in the valley makes this a place I would love to see. You were lucky that there was almost no wind, the leaves are a perfect condition and still you got good movement in the distant water.
TFS,
Niek

Horia, I missed many of your shots and will try to catch up with them because they are so beautiful. I am touched by this one, simple and beautiful, of this old tree amidst the beauty of the leaves and the water running nearby. I admire your keen eye for nature and photos and as a lover of barks and old trees, this is superb. Thank you,

Francine
