Hi Horia!

I would like to let the question if this picture reminds us summer or not open. For me it's much more important to feel the impact it has on me due to its expression. And I like this impact. It's a fine picture, close to what would be an abstarct one, and the artistic effect is very high. You easily can imagine how much I like pictures of that kind. Moreover, the refections and colours are superb.

lovely shot, i have some similar to this myself, so i may dig some out of my archive and share them too now!
what i love here though is the cool blue of the shadow mixed with the reflected green. The long exposure on the surface of the water has given these colours a real 'pastel' feel. Very good sharp detail in the rocks which contrast so nicely with the softeness of the flowing water, perfect composition too. Great work mate, one for the wall i think :o)

Hi my friend!

Today I read an article in Scientific American about some kind of competition in macrophotography. It was beautifuly illustrated by best photos taken with very advanced techniques. And I must say one photo was very similiar in mood and colours to yours :-) Great work Horia and superb idea.

Wonderful picture, full of poetry. Good composition, having those crisp mossy rocks in the corners, and the slow shutter speed gives a really good sheen to the water.

Beautiful artistic photo. The effect of the low shutter speed is amazing. The soft colours of the water against the clear one of the rocks. Splendid colours in green, blue and yellow. Excellent sharpness and composition.

What and artistic and almost abstract picture.
I'm delighted with the yellow-cobalt blue dominant duotone here, and the smooth waves in between.
The 4 sec exposure added that extra thing that put this picture besides a common one.

I like your idea to post summer picture in such reduction and in winter season. It looks like frozen water stream. And blurred reflections of nicely coloured objects give to the picture unusual beauty. Two stones play the same esthetic role. Bravo. I like this creative and technically perfectly executed picture. You're getting impressionist, Horia, it is superb. I like this a lot, the colours are fantastic and some part look like mercury shining with gold. What I like, also, is the fact that it's abstract but not really abstract. Am I too abstract when I say that ;-) What I mean is that we see the natural in this otherwise abstract picture. The composition is superb. Thank you!

Hi Horia,
A great abstract photo where it is all about colors and shapes. I love how the photo is basically made up out of blue yellow and green. The motion captured on the water gives the eye something wonderful to look at. The longer I look the more I see. Especially that little swirl behind the top rock is great. The placement of the two rocks is perfect and it does feel good to have such a photo in front of me when the weather is terrible like right now.

A great abstract photography, with lovely colors and there is also something very soft, very smooth on the water - your really managed to bring out great textures. I also love the composition, with the two rocks covered with algaes on top and bottom of the picture. I really like to look at it, specially on those grey and rainy days we are having. Very well done !
