Lovely shot of this Beautiful Demoiselle. As you say in your notes, they look so different depending on the angle of the light. Good exposure, natural colours and fine detail too.

Nu am avut ocazia pana acum sa vad aceasta specia, cu toate ca e destul de comuna.
Imi plac foarte mult culorile , dar si felul cum se detaseaza de fundal.Sincer, fotografia precedenta, "iridescenta" libelula imi pare cam nefireasca, insa este un fenomen nu foarte straniu in natura.

Ice means to me what Demoiselles mean to you... You present us again a very beautiful image of one of these fascinating insects. Here, I especially like the delightful colours and the richness of details. Moreover, the subtle composition with just a little part of a leaf in the center of the bottom adds to the value of the picture.

Hello Horia,
A fine capture of a male C. virgo, this time with its 'normal' iridescent colours. It is interesting to take the same individual with different angles of lighting. The sharpness, lighting , BG and composition all contribute to an excelölent portrait of the species.

Hello my friend!

This is for sure one of our most showy damselflies. I love to watch them flying over water during hot day. Another beauty, green Metallica in perfect pose. BG colours are also perfect. Great work Horia!

I'm going to buy macro lens this spring and I think I'll hunt for hooverflies and butterflies from Lycaenidae. Maybe this will be subject of next competition? I'm looking for challange and competitors :-)

Buna Horia,

Intr-adevar merita postata si aceast fotografie. Insecta arata excelent avand in vedere claritatea imaginii si a redarii culorilor. Atat detaliile corpului cat mai ales ale aripilor se pot observa foarte bine. Culorile insectei se potrivesc foarte bine atat cu frunza pe care sta cat si cu fundalul.

Wow, it's tue I really wouldn't have recognized him if you idn't mntion in your note it was the same one ! :-) He looks really different. I like him best on this picture, with more "natural" colors, this dark metallic blue/green is gorgous. All the rest is excellent too - harpness, details, colors, composition, BG... Really a pleasure for the eye. Very well done !
