From my point of view, the picture is perfectly sharp, probably at the limit of what is possible before it is over-sharpened. It would be interesting to know how you have sharpened this picture.

The composition is fine and the colours are superb. The picture corresponds in all technical and artistic aspects to what you have used us to.

This is a superb capture of a Calopteryx virgo.
Very good sharpness, with a great focus on the dark Demoiselle.

Do you know how we call a male demoiselle in French, Horia??? ;-)) this is just a joke, a play on words, please don't take it bad. But your picture is fantastic, my jaw dropped, it is so perfectly clear on the demoiselle, with the nice and bright background. Wow!

cand m-am uitat la imagine am zis WTF ? asa o fi specia ? dupa aia mi-a trecut prin cap ca libelula manca o musca. oricum e unicat poza asta. stiam ca libelulele sa hranesc cu musculite dar niciodata nu am avut ocazia sa vad asa ceva. nici live nici in fotografie.

Hello Horia, (or should we call you Bogdan? If so we have been wrong for over two years!)

A superb capture of a male C. virgo taken from a great lateral POV with superb sharpness. I use the same technique plus the lasso tool to selectively sharpen where desired. I try to avoid sharpeneing the light areas as they are more prone to over-sharpening. Your result is excellent and thanks for sharing it.

It is really nice to see a damselfly - an insect which is strictly connected with WARMER period of the year :) I like it very much - it is so optimistic (even if not not this small fly eaten by predator ;>), colourful and nice for watching :)

Hi mate,

I think the sharpness looks pretty good on this. the colours and details are superb.
The only thing is the leaf that its standing on is a little distracting being so bright, but theres not a lot you could have done about that.

I have any nice shot of damselfly. They are not so many near my countryside house and I also am not skill damselfly photographer. Fortunately, you are great Master of this (and not only this) kind of photography and I can get pleasure from such wonderful pictured as yours.
