[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ramsons (Allium ursinum) probably are the Romanian equivalent for the more famous British bluebells.

These little plants are a wild relative of chives and are also known as buckrams, wild garlic or bear's garlic (The Latin name owes to the brown bear's taste for the bulbs and habit of digging up the ground to get at them; they are also a favorite of wild boar)

Ramsons grow in deciduous woodlands with moist soils, preferring slightly acidic conditions. They flower before deciduous trees leaf in the spring, filling the air with their characteristic garlic-like scent.

I'd like to dedicate this shot to my dear fiend Paul Haynes with whom i've searched for bluebells last spring but weren't lucky enough to find so many with :)

Salut Horia
Numai bine, Oana

I love your work Horia. This is the first chance I took the time to look over your whole portfolio here on TrekNature and I am very much impressed. You see as an ecologist. :)

Hi Horia

The large version is stunning, an excellent landscape. Beautiful woodland, nothing like that here in Australia.
Great compositin and light.

Chris

Hallo Horia
Cool and refreshing, peaceful and serene. That is what I see first looking at this image and then I see the little plants covering the surface like a blanket. A most delightful view that is soft to the eye. Love how one can look far back into the trees and still enjoy the tranquility. Indeed a lovely dedication from one great photographer to another. Thanks for sharing.
Best regards.
Anna

Hi Horia
Beautiful. I like thin horizontal crop and low POV. Also great natural colors fantastic spring time moment. Another magical photo in your gallery
Best wishes
Krzysztof

Bonjour Horia,

Hi Mate,
well what can i say? Tis a beauty and no mistake! Thanks so much for this lovely dedication, a place i would love to have explored with you myself. It's not easy to shoot in the forest, creating depth and controlling often high contrasting light is always a problem, but here you have handled both marvelously. Superb natural colours and a lovely broad sweep of flowers - the large post is beautiful and shows this off to it's best. Great to see a part of your world my friend, thanks for sharing it with us.

Hi mate.

This is a very nice woodland panorama shot. I did try to do some panoramas myself but they didnt stitch together too well.

This shot has a very calm feel to it and excellent composition.

Hi Horia,
A beautiful panorama. Very beautiful composition and very well captured. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hi Horia
I thought it appropriate that I should comment on your Wild Garlic photo in return for your very useful critique on my bluebells one!
Although they are not as attractive as the lovely bluebells, I think that the similar environment makes for a lovely photo. Low growing plants that grow as a carpet in woods....and especially with a sloping ground. I wish that I could find a bluebell wood on a slope!
Your panoramic crop makes the most of this as well.
An excellent photo!
