Hi again, friends

As i mentioned before, i am luckier than some of you and have a thermal lake not far from my hometown that i visit from time to time and take photos of dragonflies and damselflies.

In my previous postings about such subject this year, i bragged that i already found many species and i thought it's time to show you a few of them...just so you won't think a liar out of me :)

I've put together a collage with some of them - any more and they would be visible...
So here are their ID:
1st row: Crocothemis erythraea - Broad Scarlet
Orthetrum coerulescens - Keeled Skimmer
Orthetrum albistylum - White-tailed Skimmer
2nd row: Erythromma viridulum - Small Redeye
Ischnura elegans - Common Bluetail
3rd row: Aeshna isoceles - Greed-eyed Hawker
Libellula fulva - Blue Chaser
center: Calopteryx splendens - Banded Demoiselle

All of the shots are taken with a Canon 400D and my Sigma 150mm Macro.

If you want to see the photos in a bigger size, i'll be uploading them soon on my website.

Thanks for visiting.

Buna Bogdan
Excelente pozele cu libelule. Inca nu m-am intalnit cu ele anul acesta ca sa-mi probez aparatura. Mai asteptam si altele.
Numai bine

Hi Horia. Well i can only say i have just started today with my first one but i am going to the river tommorow to see what i can find. Its nearly a year ago that you came to Southern England. Now this is a fine set of pictures you have put together for us. You are very lucky to have the hot springs it must make such a difference . All of your pictures are first class with good detail.and colours. A very good start to the year. Well done TFS.
Nick..

Hi Horia
Great set of photos.I think that I like the most a photo from a right down corner. Also you face to face POV on Calopteryx photo is very interesting. All images are great: sharp, with nice blured backgound. Nothing to critique ;-) I am glad to see new photos in your gallery

What an awesome collection of dragons and damsels, I particularly like your grey eyed hawker on the wing, but they're all excellent captures. Your White-tailed Skimmer looks as if it's only just hatched, is that the case?
I'm envious of your selection of these critters, wish we had more around here.

ciao Bogdan!
I am pleasantly surprised that you have already been allowed to see a wide variety so species of dragonflies and damselflies .. the collage is well composed with sharp catch of Odonata....compliments!!

greetings sERGIO

Hi Horia
An excellent collection of Dragonflies. Every image is sharp and colourful. Dragonflies are such an interesting insect.

Hello Horia,

Well, I must admit to feeling a little envious, having seen no dragonflies and only two butterflies this year! However, I can enjoy sharing these that you have expertly composed as a fine montage. There are fine details and colours.
Is it significant how the wings are held?
Some are folded backwards whilst others have them bent forwards, framing their faces.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Excelente trabajo Horia, por la calidad técnica que se adivina en cada una de ls imágenes y por el conjunto de documentos tan elegantemente presentados.
Buena semana: Josep Ignasi.

Hi Horia-

A superb collection, very nicely presented. The larger views will be very popular, I'm sure. Hope to see them soon. Many thanks for sharing.

Best regards,
Bob

Hi Horia!

Your mosaic could be a poster hanging on the wall of a museum or a school. I even would put it on the wall of my living-room. It's superb. You have chosen a magnificent series, and you have put them so well on stage. Even the colour-balance between left and right on every line is fine.

Many thanks for this eye-candy!

Kind regards

Markus
