Hello Horia,
It's been a long time!
Interesting to see what over half an hour's exposure can produce in a night sky shot!
Interesting to see the effect of our rotating planet with the North Star almost at the axis.
A great experiment and a fine contribution.
Thanks and best regards,
Ivan

Hello Horia
This is a superb image of star trails, A stroke of genius on your part to make the North Star as the centre point, I see you used f3.5 and iso 200, would you shoot at iso 100 and f2.8 for your planned hour long exposure?
Congratulations and I wish you luck and a steady tripod.
All the Best
Billy

Hi Horia. I bet you had a good time on your trip. I just love this picture of the night sky. You were so lucky to get such a clear night. Also the way the trees look as if they are climbing the hill. And the star in the center with the others forming the circles. with a good sence of movement. well done TFS.
Nick..

Wow! I wish I could think of something brilliant to say...oh yes..I am so glad you told us how you did this! I might have a chance some day. I have just entered into bankruptcy..sounds bad, but it will end up good and I may be able to buy a new camera in late summer...

Awesome result Horia. Expecially since there is no hint of noise after such a long exposure. Have you tried the other methode as well. (continuous 30 sec shots and one black photo)
I'v got mine planned for my next vacation.
TFS,
Niek

Buna Horia
Numai bine, Oana

Hi Horia.
You are very creative person. I like and welcome it a lot. Simply amazing shot of starry sky. Exposure is really fantastic as well as achieved result. I also like composition of the shot and very attractive shapes of the mountain covered by the forest. Bravo, my dear friend. Well done.
Alexei.
Dammit, you got a star trail shot before me! How did i miss this?? What a superb result too - i wonder how many attempts you made? I guess you learnt with alot of practice. My problem here in the UK is light pollution and cloud - there's just no escaping either really, and there's not a hint of artifical glow or precipitation here.
Anyway, very well done, a clear example of a man who knows how to use his equipment. I have the same lens, maybe i'll give it a go myself...
Well done mate!
Paul
