[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi friends,

Leaving the Tunisia photos a little aside, i've decided to come back to some shots i took back in my country this summer.

I was lucky enough to travel a little and visit by beloved mountains again on few occasions and here is a photo from mid-July, when the daisies were in bloom in this field of fresh ferns. The sun was setting behind the mountains and the mist that had formed after the rain in the afternoon was fading, too, but i managed to take 3 shots just before it vanished.
Seeing how fast the fog was disappearing, i opted for an f/9 aperture and to shoot a 30 sec. exposure in AV, than to search for my remote and switch to Manual and get a better f-stop but also a longer shutter speed. As it turned out, though, f/9 did the trick and and image is sharp all around :)

Yes, you did well. Niek will be pleased! I have some problem with focus it appears. There is no way with my aging eyesight that I could possibly manually focus. I have to depend on autofocus. I do need to experiment with your longer shutter speeds. I am amazed that the air was so still that you pulled this off! It is interesting that you have a green and white half and a blue half. It seems to work.

Hi Horia!

This is one of best pictures of mist I've ever seen, really! Why? Because it is different. Most pictures with mist are grim, dark, sad. But not this one - this one is full of joy. Fresh green grass, ferns, little flowers - all look beautifull and very summer. Mist is only small piece of this happy meadow's puzzle :-) Great shot my Friend!

BTW - hard to believe, but I photographed another new specie of dragonfly in The Garden, I'll post it soon :-)

This is a poster-perfect image, Horia! Simply, a lovely capture.. Looks like heaven.. I must say you are very lucky to find such a heavenly place around. This is one landscape I will always like.

Ma bucur ca ai mai inserat o fotografie din Romania.Imi plac foarte mult margaretele inflorite prinfre ferigile verzi, ca si ceata care se profileaza in zare si care ascunde sa zic asa copacii. Insa, nefolosind culorile calde ale apusului iar verdele fiind prea din plin, toata imaginea capata in ochii mei o nuanta rece, de fapt, oarecum potrivita pentru caderea serii.
Un calduros insa "TFS" pentru aceasta imagine.

Hi Horia,
I love the cool tonality in the landscape and how it contrasts nicely with the last warm colors of the setting sun. The fading trees standing in the fog are most wonderful and give it that perfect idea of serenity. I am a bit confused why you want to change to manual to find a better aperture. The light is the same and there is no need to compensate the shutter speed more than 2 steps with this kind of light. Or, you must not trust your TLL meetering at all. You could have just adjusted the EV. Anyway, the first result came out beautifully.
