Rosalia alpine (Linnaeus, 1758) - Rosalia Longicorn
Rosalia alpina is classified as VU on the IUCN Red List. More specifically, Rosalia alpina is considered by IUCN to be Vulnerable and facing a high risk of extinction in the wild due to a significant reduction in population size. Rosalia alpina was last assessed in 1996 by World Conservation Monitoring Centre.
Rosalia alpina develops in dead compact and relatively dry wood of mainly beech (Fagus), but also in Ulmus, Carpinus, Tilia, Castanea etc.

In this picture, male (right) are more big than female (left), and the first difference is feller, more long from body at male, almost like body at female.

Ce poza frumoasa! Si ce moment interesant!
Pe langa faptul ca specia in sine e una extrem de colorata si tot-odata superb de fotografiat, tu ai reusit sa o capturezi si intr-un moment interesant si cu niste imprejurimi contrastante care o scot si mai mult in evidenta. Bine lucrat!
Detalii misto, POV fain si dupa cum am mai zis, culori superbe :)

Frumoasa fotografie si extrem de interesante lamuririle despre insecele in cauza. Chiar incepe sa ma pasioneze treaba asta cu natura, suficient de mult ca sa ma gindesc sa fac un imprumut la o banca, pentru un aparat performant, cu teleobiectiv si alte dotari care sa-mi permita sa surprind lumea animalelor/insectelor/pasarilor etc.
Multe poze reusite iti doresc si sincera mea invidie :-)
