[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was very happy when captured this image. I was aware that they are not many bird photographers that have a swallow in flight in their portfolio. I know like 15 romanian bird photographers but i saw a swallow captured in flight only on Cosmin Manci (although he did not post the image on TN but on his personal website).
This species accelerate and change direction in the same time. And it's change direction very often. It very hard to anticipate where it will be in the next millisecond.
This was made at 400mm.

Hi Anghel,

I would be thrilled to have this picture in my portfolio! I have only seen barn swallows twice and couldn't get a shot worthy of posting. And they were in their nests - not flying. You captured him in a wonderful position with 2 vees formed by the wings and the tail feathers. Lovely colors and good details - the eye shows up very well. Nice blurred background of the sky and trees.

Anghel,

Great job! Anyone who has ever attempted to shoot those birds in flight will definitely agree with your note. They are TOUGH to catch in-flight. It takes a lot of time and even more patience. Nicely done.

Best Regards,

Martin

How fast was your shutter to capture this speedy, unpredictable fellow? You are good at panning. I'm not. I like the limited palette, with swallow colors repeated in the soft background. Nice work.

Salut Eliz, ai reusit o poza greu de facut avand culori de toamna pastelate, linistitoare, randunica find o pata de culoare.
Felicitari, Dan.
