A Magpie chasing a Hooded Crow. They are smaller but they are more aggressive.
I have also seen magpies chasing other kind of birds: Kestrels, Buzzards.
But i have seen only one species that chase the magpies. The strange thing that species is smaller in size then the magpies.

SPECIES:
Pica Pica (lat.) // European Magpie (en.) // Cotofana (ro.)

Corvus cornix (lat.) // Hooded Crow (en.) // Cioara griva (ro.)

@edit: thank you for bring to my attention that i have mistaken the translation of the species name in english. first time it was "Rook". i will always put the wikipedia link from now on.

Hi Anghel,
Are you sure it is not a Hooded Crow (Corvus cornix)?

Hello anghel,
una captura muy buena de lo que parecen dos especies Pica pica como comentas i Corvus cornix como comenta cuckooroller.
TFS.

I like the way you have kept the shutter speed slow enough to keep some movement in the wings while keeping the body’s sharp, well done.

By the way the bird being chased is a Hooded Crow Corvus cornix

Salut Eliz
Imi place poza, ai surprins aceste doua specii in actiune, culorile sunt frumoase si imaginea foarte clara.
Numai bine.

Hi Anghel,
Not one but two inflight, hard to do this well.
Especially the smaller birds like this.
Great detail & DOF, and I like the POV of the action here :)
Happy Holidays!
Howard

imi place mult compozitia si pozitia pasarilor pe care le-ai surprins, in rest imaginea este clara iar fundalul uniform!
