[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Still waiting for spring here in Northen Romania. The signs are good, temperature is slowly rising, snow is melting but the nature is yet to wake up from the hibernation.
Meanwhile, browsing thru my ol' material I bumped into this photo of a multilegged critter (Myriapod) that found for itself a very good home and breakfast place in this small Russula specie.

Robbrown, red45, peter_stoeckl, saguzar, thistle, pablominto, cedryk has marked this note useful

Beautiful composition, nice autumn colours, and very interesting subject, difficult to capture as they run sooo fast. You managed very well with the high clear-dark contrast of this white mushroom with the dark centipede on it without OE. TFS, Patrick

Hi Petru!

Nice to hear that spring is finally coming to our countries. Good photo. Very interesting animal, rather rare on TN. Head over heels Russula looks arty - something like space station ;-)

Hi Petru,
charming, well taken picture with high naturalistic values.
I like your silent approach to the litte things.
Thank you! Best regards.
Peter

Hi Petru,
Very interesting subject and well captured with good details.
Thanks for sharing!

Hello Petru,
I found these creatures very hard to photographed. I tried several times without any good results because they seem to be always at move trying to hide under leaves or in decaying wood.
The picture has some technicall nits but still it's very interesting.
WELL DONE!

Hi,
nice bug ... with great composition, details and note!
Good colours!

Hi Petru...
Very pleasant capture... two-in-one..!
Nicely composed and with very good details in the main subject(s)...
Good colours, and a nice job done!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hello Petru,
I think the myriapod is a species from genus Lithobius. They are quite venomous in fact. Not as much as scolopendras but enough to be painful.
Best greetings,
Michal

Great composition and nice colours.
