Hi Petru,
You always hope the mother is watching nearby, and will continue to care for the chick. It is very vunerable on the forest floor to every preadator. A good shot, and it will always make you wonder about the outcome!

Sad moment and sad story! I hope all went well with this bird. POV is good in my opinion - refreshing and good looking. Maybe it was first try of its flight abilities? It looks not very young.

interesting photo, I think is fallen from the nest, extremely difficult it has survived. good colors and light; but out of focus some leaf near the little bird.

Not likely pushed out by a cuckoo -- they usually complete their homicidal chores while their adopted siblings are very young and helpless -- often before they even hatch. This little chick looks too young to be trying its wings, but old enough that it might have gone exploring outside the nest and fallen. The parents would still feed it, but they would have little chance of defending it against predators.

You did well not to get too close. This bird looks to well cared for not have a mom lurking somewhere close-by to scrath inquisitive photographers.

Nice photo showing this "poor little guy"! I guess its mamma was flying just over the trees around you and going crazy. Good colours, sharpness and details. Unfortunately, I don't believe this guy had survived. Cheers!

Salut!
Cel mai probabil e ca a incercat sa zboare prea repede dar teoretic nu e nicio problema. Parintii il hranesc si are destule sanse sa supravietuiasca, bineinteles daca nu il gaseste vreo pisica inainte. Eu zic ca e un pui de ceva Turdus, cel mai probabil Philomelos sau Pilaris.
De obicei puii de Pilaris parasesc cuibul inainte sa poata zbura si se ascund prin balarii/urzici. Nici chiar asa de mici totusi, dar sa speram ca a fost bine pana la urma.
Si eu am gasit de cateva ori pui asa mici sau poate mai mari putin pe jos.
