Anthus spinoletta – Water Pipit
In summer is common small birds (16 cm) C and S Europe above the forest limit, from 1600 m to alpine, nestle between the rocks. Wintrily you can find it downstairs, along the river.
The plumage is nearly tawny, gray overhead with a white line over the eyes, darkly above, patch-whitely downstairs, tail are long and brown.

Hallo Lucian,

This one looks like a statue! Keeping the whole horizon under surveillance! Great composition with plenty of space to breath in front of the bird. The photo was perfectly exposed, with no backlighting problems! Congratulations!
