Hi,
i come back from a big tour thro’ Romania. This picture is taken in Maramures, near by Sighet, in a places named Agris.

Comma butterfly (Polygonia c-album) is called a comma because of a white mark on the underwing which looks a bit like a comma. It is a good flying, but unlike the almost butterfly, not visit the flowers because prefer to eat the sap and water from the trees, leafs or soil. Also it can be set by animal corpse eating minerals.

I like this composition a lot. The dark BG suits this butterfly very well. There are great details and colors. Good Vand DOF too. Well done and TFS,

salut Lucian,

Faina poza; imi place compozitia si incadramentul. Intr-adevar avem pe aici prin MM o droaie de de-astia, fluturand prin toate colturile (de la poluatul oras Baia Mare pana la marginile padurilor muntilor Maramuresului). Nu exista zi insorita, din mai pana in octombrie sa nu ma intalnesc cu vreunul :-)
