Ramaria botrytis
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Name: Ramaria botrytis
Family: Clavariaceae
Grows up to 15 cm high and 20 cm wide.
The overall color is white towards ochre, having the tips of the brances purple-brown. In fact this color of the tips makes the identification easier.
Likes forest floor, especialy under deciduous trees, developing in autumn, till late november (if wheater permits). This is an edible mushroom, very tasteful (belive me).
This individual I photographed might have been frostbiten; the tips of the branches started to turn black. |

Great fungus Petru. Definitelly alien and autumn looking one. Sharp, brown leaves made good BG for this shot.
Hi Petru!
Nice composition with very original subject.
Great shot.

Hi Petru,
Excellent and memorable shot of this very interesting looking kind of fungus you brought forth today! Good note too with id thanks to which I found this web site about mykology: www.mykoweb.com. Pictures like this stir my interest in fungus of which I have very scant knowledge,
Goran
Nice shot Petru!
It's very good technically and nicely framed. I like the fact it's quite clear and the BG isn't distracting as it sometimes may happen in photos of fungi.
WELL DONE & TFS
