So nice it had me fooled into thinking it was a butterfly....I have seen my share of moths in the wilderness....this one is most dramatic however. Your eye and lens have caught the most important parts and the knowledge based on notes is succinct!

Very fine picture of this impressive moth, which I also saw for the first time during summer. Good sharpness and nice color-contrast with the background. It seems that this moth lives almost everywhere in Europe.
