GREAT REED WARBLE 3

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
GREAT REED WARBLE (ACROCEPHALUS ARUNDINACEUS)
The Great Reed Warbler is a huge warbler, 50% bigger than a Reed Warbler and almost as big as a Redwing. Most warblers move delicately through the reeds but this one crashes around clumsily. In plumage it looks quite similar to a Reed Warbler but it has a more obvious eyestripe and the larger size and stronger bill are usually obvious.
Breeds in and around reedbeds, especially Phragmites.
A migratory bird which winters across Africa from covering Liberia to Ethiopia and southwards as far as the Cape in South Africa. |

Hello Marius,
Extremely sharp capture of the warbler with enough DOF to keep the entire bird in focus. Some noise in the background and I would prefer to eliminate the second branch in the background, but a very nice shot overall.
Regards,
Greg
Superb picture of this reed warbler in its typical position on a reed :-) the shatrpness and the colors are good, liked the pov as well. The diffused BG patterns adds to the picture and the directional space makes it a pleasant watch
Amazing clarity and great detail. Nice overall colour shade as well. Definately a piece of nature. I would love to see one of these guys clumsy like you say in the weedbed. LOL TFS Trevor
