'Stones that grow' is the name peasants gave them.'Troventii'/`Trovantii` are basically cemented sand in the shape of huge potatoes and they are thought to be some million years old,dating back to the cenozoic era.
The ones I saw in this unique museum in Europe were not more than 2 metres but then maybe I was wrong as the sites inform us they gathered stones ranging from 6 to 10 metres in size. |
