A superb capture, Horia!
Nice to see you back in action with your great dragonfly macros. This one of P. pennipes is no exception, pretty close to perfect, I would say.
Thanks for sharing this fine image my friend, that is going into my favourites as an inspiration.

Hi Horia!

Very nice shot. Clear, sharp and with perfect DOF. Subject is well known on TN but still interesting and beautifull. I was trying similiar shots with similiar gear last weekend but result was erm... not as good as yours :-)

Hi Horia!

The difference between your picture and many of the same type we can see here on TN is the fact you mentioned that it's sharp over the whole length. This makes this picture an outstanding one. The very delicate composition with the tiny blade of grass adds to the value of the picture. The blurred background highlights the main subject very well and does not attract the spectator's eye.

I'm also impressed that you can make such a clear macro handheld. It would be very useful to know at what distance you took the picture. Is it the result of a strong zoom or were you very close and using the macro position of your lens?
